Growing up, I was put into pretty much any sport you could imagine: soccer, curling, climbing, rugby, trail running, football, fencing, etc. To this day, I'm still involved in weekly curling leagues with my friends. When COVID lockdowns began, I turned to fitness to fill the gap left by the absence of competitive sports. What started as a substitute quickly turned into a passion. Week after week, I was learning more and more, allowing me to explore the various fitness niches. Over time, I prioritized strength-based movements while also learning how to train intelligently to avoid injuries. In 2024, I began powerlifting, specializing my training for the squat, bench, and deadlift. Since then I have competed in numerous meets, and don’t plan on stopping. Alongside powerlifting, I emphasize functional movement patterns to help clients move better in everyday life. I enjoy breaking down complex exercises into simple, actionable cues that make progress feel achievable. Through this process, I help clients build their confidence, translating mental discipline into physical results. My goal as a trainer is to help clients become stronger, more resilient, and more confident - both inside and outside the gym. Outside of the world of fitness, I am a fourth-year astrophysics student at the U of A, working towards my bachelor's degree. I’m also a cat dad, parenting two babies each with polarizing personalities: Phil and Luna. So if you want to chat about space or cats, come and find me at the combo rack!
